Hi everyone. I just want to update you on what has been happening since the NYT article. I received over $500 in donations, received about 75 emails (a lot of these where from new people) & I was contacted by the VP of Documentary programming for HBO.I spoke with their rep who saw the sample reel & said that they liked what they saw. He also wanted to know if I had anymore footage to show him. My Editor Herb Bennett & I told them that by this spring we will have a rough cut for them to see, so that's what we are working on. Herb is about ready to start editing which means I need to get more money. I will be trying to do fund raising & grant writing with the help of Sam Green & Patti Haverty. It is very important that I raise more money so I can put together something for HBO to see. I was also interviewed for a radio program WUNC out of N.C. The interview is great & it is about 50 min long. You can listen to it in the media section. The name of the program is The Story with Dick Gordon. I am doing a little better, obviously all the positive things that are happening have been great for me. I still have my bad HD days however. I am trying to eat better,drink less & get outside & exercise. I am having a little success so far. Well that's it for now. I hope you all are well.Chris

Well the NYT's has finally decided to run an article on me or at least about my film.
This year has been a rough one on me as I have recently had to admit that I am symptomatic with Hunington's. I have not been facing the Disease head on & have been doing things that are unhealthy.My diet is poor my exercise regiment is non existent & I am drinking way more than I should be. At least I haven't started smoking again although that has crossed my mind on several occasions .I do feel that I am at least trying to do some good for myself recently & I have to remember every little bit counts. As far as the film goes I still need a lot of money to finish about $25,000 is a rough estimate. I do have my dream team as the editor I have Herb Bennett is the guy I have always wanted to use, he is an award winning editor & then my Executive Producer is Sam Green a successful documentary film maker whose film The Weather Underground was nominated for an Academy Award. I hope to finish the film by next summer.
I know I should be writing more in this blog so people can keep up with what's going on with me & my film all I can do is say that I will try. I hope you are well.

Welcome to Chris Furbee's blog... I am excited about the updated website. This years fund raiser will be on my 40th birthday.Usually I don't like to celebrate my birthdays but I finally took my ex girlfriends Staysea suggestion & decided to celebrate the fact that I will be 40 & still healthy.I hope to see many of you there.
